Folkwise Release is based on Shao Yao Gan Cao Tang with the addition of herbs like Corydalis yanhusuo, Kudzu root, and Chinese quince.

Shao Yao Gan Cao Tang has been used to relieve muscle tension and cramping since 200 AD. Its simple and elegant design uses just two herbs: Chinese peony root and licorice root. In TCM terms, these herbs nourish Liver Yin and Blood to support healthy muscle tone and flexibility.

Corydalis yanhusuo and peony root work synergistically to improve anti-spasmodic action of the formula. Dong quai and Sichuan lovage promote microcirculation of blood to support a healthy healing response. Chinese quince has been used historically to “relax the sinews”, in other words to support healthy tendons and muscle relaxation. Kudzu root nourishes dryness and supports blood circulation.*

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) indications: Liver Yin and Blood Deficiency, Jin Ye Fluid Deficiency with Dryness, Blood Stagnation.

Directions: Take 5 grams 1 to 2 times per day, or as directed by your health care practitioner. Dissolve in warm water, take with or without food.

Folkwise Release is an extract powder formula. You can think of it like instant coffee, but instead of coffee it's herbal medicine. Extract powders have strong medicinal flavors. Unlike instant coffee or tea, these formulas are taken for their specific medicinal purposes rather than a pleasant taste.
